Kinaxis, provider of RapidResponse, delivering cloud-based SCM and S&OP applications, today announced that Nimble Storage, provider of flash-optimized hybrid storage solutions, has deployed Kinaxis RapidResponse as its core planning and analytics engine.

Nimble Storage is a growing company with around-the-clock resources and four-hour onsite parts replacement services. The implementation of RapidResponse was in order to overcome the challenges of visibility into its global inventory hubs and depots to provide this critical customer support in the expanding business and operational needs.

“As a past RapidResponse user, I know the breadth of capabilities and the flexibility of the solution. With RapidResponse deployed, we have the confidence we can keep up with our growing install base to achieve visibility of inventory at hubs, depots and parts in transit. We have the ability to quickly perform many “what-if” analyses we face on a daily basis and have already reduced the time to make decisions, which positively impacts our customer relationships,” says Stacey Cornelius, Vice President of Operations at Nimble Storage.

The RapidResponse implementation has offered immediate value to its growing user base. The return on investment (ROI) for this deployment is expected to come from:

  • condensed planning cycle times;
  • reduced inventory levels;
  • faster and more reliable scenario planning; and
  • increased visibility to data for service parts planning.

“An agile supply chain that can respond to unexpected change and volatile customer demands necessitates a supporting supply chain software solution that is equally as agile. As a single offering which solves multiple business problems, we believe in RapidResponse as the technology enabler for making effective demand and supply balancing decisions that drive corporate performance and customer satisfaction improvements for the company,” adds John Sicard, Chief Products Officer for Kinaxis.
